Other Benefits
Some employers offer other benefits. These might include dental insurance, life insurance, and profit-sharing plans.
Dental insurance
Some employers dont offer dental care plans, but those that do generally require you to pay part of the premium. These plans often pay the full cost of regular checkups and cleanings. For more extensive dental work, you usually have to pay a portion of the charges, although usually it is a lot less than the full cost. Some plans may require you to use a dentist on the plan's list of approved providers.
Life insurance
Life insurance provides money to your family if you die. Many companies pay the entire cost for life insurance on their workers. The benefit is usually equal to one year's pay.
Profit-sharing plans
Some employers offer profit-sharing plans, which allow employees to take home a portion of the company's profits. Your share may be paid in cash or in company stock, or it may be placed into a tax-deferred account for you. These are all great ways to save more for your retirement.
