Finding Transportation

Getting to a job on time every day is very important to employers. How will you get to work? Do you own a car, or could you take a bus or other public transportation system?

Public transportation is probably your cheapest option, but it can limit some of the places you work. So, if you’re relying on a bus, train, or subway, look for employers near public transportation routes.

If you don't already own a car, try to avoid buying one right away. The purchase price is just the beginning of the expenses. There's gasoline, insurance, license plates, and maintenance, and these costs can really add up.

Of course, you may live in an area with limited public transportation options. If you do need a car, look for a reliable one with good fuel efficiency that doesn't need a lot of maintenance to keep it running smoothly. A good used car is always a lot less expensive than a new one.
